Wooden letterpress drawer with 98 compartments of uniform size. Perfect for displaying small collections of keepsake items, or as a drawer to store jewellery, art supplies or curios. In original, untouched, unrestored condition, with ink stains and discolouration from years of use as a working printer's tray. Marked 'caslon & co', with recessed flush pull handle. Retains original brass strengtheners and metal runners to each compartment join. A wonderful decorative item, ideal for showcasing trinkets, antique curios and miniatures, either as a drawer or wall display. Sourced in the uk.
