“checkerboard” table, italy 1970

A rare “checkerboard” coffee table manufactured in italy around 1970. This wonderful piece is made of high quality black laminated wood with bright aluminium. The materials are combined into a checkered pattern to the top with the aluminium squares being a bit higher than the black ones. It’s a beautiful style that gives the table a very luxurious appeal! A fantastic find of mid-century italian design. It remains in good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. There are some very minor dents in the aluminium.
