2 impressionist paintings - autumn and winter landscapes - signed Théodore LESPINASSE (1848-1918)

Lot of 2 oils on canvas from the same period signed Théodore Lespinasse: 1- "sunrise in a forest landscape in autumn", splendid authentic work from the end of the 19th century in a style typical of the Lyon school. This painting represents a forest landscape in autumn. The assembly in the foreground of the autumnal colors gives a beautiful, very expressive relief. This finely crafted painting with colors very close to nature is supported by a magnificent sunrise in the distance behind the trees. Frame dimensions: 41 x 29.7 cm. Dimensions of the work: 35 x 24 cm. 2- "country landscape with river in winter", impressionist work from the late 19th century from the Lyon school. This authentic painting represents a countryside landscape crossed by a river in winter. We notice magnificent reflections of the sky in the river, as well as the shadows of dead trees on the ground. These very successful winter colors, representative of nature, are particularly homogeneous and close to the reality of a countryside deserted by the cold.
