Set of 2 vintage DESIGN PLIA chairs by Giancarlo Piretti for Castelli Italy 1960s

This superb pair of folding chairs is made of plexiglass and chromed metal. This is the plia model, created by the designer giancarlo piretti and published by the italian firm "anonima castelli" in the 1960s. The particularity of this chair is its clever aluminum ball joint connecting the seat, the backrest and the feet, and allowing the chair to occupy a very small space (only 5cm) when folded. The seat is solid and the design is sober. In good general condition, they have scratches from use. They measure 75cm in height open, 46cm in width, 41cm by 41cm for the seat and 44cm in height for the seat - folded 46cm X 88cm X 5cm. I report shocks on one of the chairs - visible in the photo. These are aesthetic chips, but not structural. 6 protective pads are missing out of the 8 original ones.
