Thonet no.1 parrot double wardrobe

Thonet wardrobe no.1 - coat racks - hats and umbrella holders. Double whitewashed hollow stamp and thonet label 1895-1905 ca. Mirrored version. With the kleiderstock no. 1, of which it is the double version in console, it is an emblematic silhouette of the bistro and art nouveau atmosphere of the belle epoque. --- in its beautiful juice of find and domestic maintenance, patina of origin, usual marks of seniority and use really minimal. Note that the front bar of the umbrella holder that has moved a little in time (the curved wood always tending to peel a little - see photo with the small arrows in the jumble in photo 3) came out of the notches of the back bar; this is not visible at first glance, in any case it does not weaken the frame of this part since the bar remains firmly fixed in four other points.
