Tubular style armchairs were designed by józsef peresztegi, a well-known hungarian bauhaus furniture designer between the two world wars, and the II. Became one of the defining figures of the post-world war II period. He is a founding member of the wood industry manufacturing design and editing office, established in 1951, which was the main venue for furniture design in the ’50s. The chairs are upholstered in high-end spanish velvet. The dark-stained wooden parts are in excellent condition with only a minor patina. The chairs are stable, well sprung. The price is for the pair. Please get in touch if you need just one. We are specialized in the restoration of mid-century modern furniture. As for upholstery, we pay special attention to selecting the perfect fabrics. As a result, each of our unique armchairs keeps its original style yet represents a fresh and rethought version of its original state. We offer complete armchair recondition services - both upholstering and woodwork – as required by our clients. The recondition work is provided with the highest standard of quality. We treat wooden parts with natural oil and beeswax or, as an alternative, we offer satin lacquer finishes as well.
