PRODUCT CORNER BHV: Chamaedorea elegans

Chamaedorea is a small palm tree native to the rainforests of america. Very easy to grow, it is an indoor ornamental plant for our latitudes. It has a raised port and persistent and falling foliage, more or less bushy depending on the species. The palms, pennate, are composed of several pairs of long leaves, light green to dark green, larger and larger as the years go by. These plants are happy to enjoy shady situations without direct sunlight. In all seasons the chamaedorea need water and humidity, without going as far as soaking. Water once a week in winter, 3 times a week in summer and burn the foliage from time to time with rain or mineral water at room temperature.
