XVIII° grain measuring bucket with handles

Authentic and spectacular xviii° grain measurement of 45cm in diameter by 26cm high. Consisting of curved beech wood, a fir bottom and its 14 wrought iron metal strips starting under the upper wrought iron belt and joining under the base, 2 final arrow-shaped parts of the 8 are missing, and its 2 magnificent handles. The whole has been completely cleaned, the exterior has been waxed in our workshop, and the interior has been voluntarily left raw finishing to allow any reuse. This rustic object, testifying to past practices and a popular craftsmanship of very good quality presents a superb patina. It bears traces of use and time, spots, ancient traces of xylophagous insects, day in the bottom between the boards, missing at the bottom on a slice well taken in photo, 2 missing nails on a vertical iron "strap" that detaches a little from the wood, and the two pieces ending in the shape of an arrow that are missing below. These details mentioned out of a desire for transparency do not detract from the cachet, authenticity and solidity of this piece. It can serve as a decorative object, or find a new function, here we present it with bath towels, but given its large size it can serve as a container for a multitude of objects!
