Mid-Century Cups by Ulla Procope for Arabia, Finland, 1960s, Set of 8

Ruska is one of the timeless proposals in the offer of the finnish arabia - the finnish ceramics manufactory founded in 1873 by rörstrand, now owned by fiskars. It was designed by the artist ulla procope, who was one of the most significant creators of the so-called golden age of finnish design. The ruska series has become one of the best sales lines in it's history. Due to it's popularity, it's production continued in 1990. It has become a classic scandinavian design. For the first time a matt enamel was used. In addition to straight lines, the series is characterized by a brown, heterogeneous shade. An extremely stylish, 'mottled' effect was achieved, which gives the vintage girls from the collection a unique character. The dishes from the collection have a pleasant surface to the touch. Smaller cup is 7.5 cm high - 7 cm wide. The larger one is 8.8 cm high - 8.5 cm wide.
