Two watercolors measuring 70x57cm, framed, in excellent condition, colors still very bright, dated 1980 and signed. Acquired in 1987. I am selling them due to lack of space. Jean-marc scanreigh is a french artist born september 27, 1950. He creates drawings, paintings, prints and artist books. He studied at the beaux-arts in strasbourg in 1973 and exhibited that year in the les idées et les arts gallery. In 1976, the strasbourg museum of modern art dedicated an exhibition to him. In 1977 j.-m. Scanreigh exhibited at the museum of modern art in strasbourg. 1978-1985 these were the prosperous years: -1979 personal exhibition at the center georges-pompidou in paris -1980 participation in the exhibition after classicism at the contemporary art museum of st etienne in 2010, he was the first artist to benefit from the change in the status of french universities which allows them to acquire works of art. Thus the university of lyon 3 inaugurates a room at the tobacco factory in lyon, with a choice of paintings by the artist. Jean -marc scanreigh exhibits regularly in france and abroad: in several galleries in lyon, saint-étienne and geneva; some institutions make acquisitions.
