These earthen pots come from the erzurum region, in anatolia (turkey). They were used in villages to preserve flour and solid foods. Their shape is characteristic, a narrow base, a rounded belly and arcuate handles close to the opening. Most are decorated with painted motifs, rather well preserved because these jars were traditionally stored inside houses. Their raw texture and organic silhouette remind us of the wabisabi aesthetic, which celebrates the beauty of imperfect things. Age: over 150 years old.
