PORTIEUX : Set of 2 old bistro glasses - pantogravure decoration guilloche 1930 Lemonadier

These authentic bistro glasses are made of glass with guilloché decoration. These are stemmed glasses of lemonadiers, they served alcohols to dilute type absinthe, syrup and lemonades... These glasses of very good quality come from the manufacture of portieux. We find this guilloché model in the catalog of 1933: model lafayette for limonadier and guilloche d. Baccarat and saint-louis also made beautiful models in pantogravure. The technique: the glass was coated with a wax and the decoration is drawn with a needle in pantogravure in wax, then the glass is immersed in an acid bath that attacks the crystal bare. It is a stemmed glass with a simple leg offering a large drink engraved with the needle of friezes in guilloche battlements. In good condition, they measure 15 cm high X 7.5 cm in diameter. I point out bubbles in the glass.
