Thonét Chair Number 4

Chair No. 4 by Thonet is also called the Daum café chair, named after the famous Viennese café for which it was produced. Its rounded back incorporates two facing S-shaped volutes. The slightly curved front legs have a small constriction at the top. Model n° 4 chair by Michael Thonet between 1888 and 1922 (see label) The canework is made by hand and is in very good condition. The chair is perfectly stable and the seat taut. The Thonet stamp is present under the seat. The elegance of the scrolls and the rarity of this model make it a model of choice for interior decoration.H. 93.5; L. 42.0; D. 52.0 cm.
