Description
A very rare desk "hommage a mondrian" designed by italian designer danilo silvestrin for rosenthal einrichtung, circa 1984. This desk is inspired by the memphis milano movement, an italian design movement created in the 1980s by ettore sottsass. The movement was a protest movement against the neutral, discreet and functional modernism that preceded them. He defines the very basic design elements of form and function and has managed to evoke emotions among the masses. This innovative design consists of five rectangular lacquered sections, in gray, black, blue, yellow and red lacquer, this desk has been built and assembled to give a floating illusion. Some cracks in the resin of the base and some gaps on the edges. Height 84cm, width 190cm, depth 113cm.
