Daniel leray. (1959-2020) Private hotel in place louis de hercé, seen from the pediment of the old town hall, mayenne. Watercolor on framed paper. Signed "leray" at bottom right. 43 X 35 cm. Born in mayenne, daniel leray devoted his entire professional life to painting decoration in angers and then in paris. Working in a company authorized by historical monuments, daniel leray has participated in the restoration of prestigious projects: louvre museum, opera garnier, royal palace... A watercolourist with a drawing rich in detail and finesse, he participates in numerous salons in the paris region where he regularly collects since 1978 (building and public works) the first prizes of watercolor. (paris, bois colombes, antony, montreuil, bourg la reine...) At the end of his professional activities, he returned to his native country where he participated in exhibitions in brittany and the loire countries. Here again, the public awards, the city's prize, the general council awards follow one another. His talent is mentioned in numerous publications: art home artists 1989, practice of the arts 1999, aquarelle 2000. Member of the academy of watercolorists of france.
