Magnificent and important desk in safety glass, laminate (formica), and teak veneer, very strongly attributable to the french designer jacques dumond (1906-1988) jacques dumond, member of the bureau of the society of decorative artists (sad), of the steering committee of the uam, the office of the institute of industrial aesthetics, and the organizing committee of “formes utiles”, professor at the ecole normale supérieure des arts décoratifs (ensad), and at the camondo school, knight of the legion of honor in 1953... "dumond's influence extends to the creation of an aesthetic specific to his era with the use of formica."... Flat desk for four drawers on the front. Legs made of large safety glass plates (thickness 13 mm), bevelled in the lower part at the rear, as well as in contact with the ground. Top and box in imitation teak laminate veneer, very high quality. Teak veneered drawer fronts and interior niche... A drawer equipped with a "sorter" on a sliding shelf (for pencils, staples, paper clips and others...). Very good condition. Length X width = 220 X 100 cm height 75.5 cm.
