Old H205xL103 arched iron door with mailbox

Heavy and solid arched door, in solid iron, xviii°, xix°, painted blue (and not lavender color as it appears in some photos) on both sides, pushing straight, xix°. It is mounted with two hinges, and is on pivot in the lower part, in a heavy metal piece to seal on the ground (visible in the photos posed at the bottom right). It is equipped with two "shutters" with opening handles each on an openwork plate allowing to see and converse safely, these shutters "slide" in two rails up and down. They had been condemned by the layer of blue paint and accumulated dust, which is why the "grids" are not painted inside. The first 3 photos (not counting the cropped photo are the front, back and back open shutters). Solid and very massive, it is equipped with a round brass handle that we did not want to shine to preserve its authenticity, its lock and its key that works. This lock was installed after its manufacture. In view of the hardware on the back of the handle, it had to turn and engage the door opening latch (which could be modified again according to the intended use). The mailbox is somewhat dented, with holes on the back, its door does not close optimally and it has lost a hinge, but it is full of charm! The traces of rust visible in our photos are only superficial, only the angle at the bottom left at the level of the scarf on the mailbox side could be reinforced. This door is difficult to weigh given its weight (a priori 150 kg) and will have to be installed professionally to be able to be used safely. It is like straight out of marcel pagnol's film "my mother's castle" and those solid property doors impossible to cross without their famous keys! 100% authentic and picturesque!
