French empire brass single montgolfier crystal basket chandelier 4446

Montgolfier chandelier in brass and laden with strings of cut crystals.the chandelier is made up of decorative crown to the top with leaf detail and a decorative brass central ring with multiple strings of graduated sized cut glass crystals adorning the space between them. More crystals and rectangular prisms enclose the bottom of the piece attaching to a decorative finial. In the center of the chandelier is the framework made up of a central bar with brass bulb holder and three arms which are fixed to the central ring. The chandelier hangs from a 3 link chain, a bar and matching decorative cup style ceiling rose. The light is fitted with french twin core wiring and takes 1 large bayonet bulb b22 the brass frame work are in good vintage condition with age related patina and marks associated with age. It has been cleaned but not polished so you can decide on finish. The crystals are in good condition bright and clear with no visible chips or cracks, some may have small nibbles nothing to detract from their beauty.
