Vintage Swing Vip Table Lamp by Jorgen Gammelgaard for Design Forum, 1983

Table lamp vip was originally designed in 1983 by jørgen gammelgaard for design forum and was immediately recognized for its architectural qualities. Gammelgaard was the first designer to receive the annual awards from both the danish design council (1986) and the council for arts and crafts (1991). Stunningly designed resembling an asian conical hat tilting to direct the light accordingly. Elegant and practical, the sheer weight of the solid steel lamp base ensures that the lamp shade pivots effortlessly with the touch of a hand. Multi adjustable shade – hand made in aluminium and carefully wet painted. base made in wet painted solid steel and the arm in brushed stainless steel. Porcelain fitting. Lightbulb not included. Lamp is heather than you would think. Diameter of the shade is 35 cm. Light wear consistent with age and use, patina consistent with age and use, some signs of age and usage, see photo's.
