Art Nouveau vase signed Léon Pointu (1879-1942)

Vase signed léon pointu, in sandstone enamelled background duck blue, wide drips in shades of brown and duck blue. Handwritten signature incised under the base. Perfect condition. Dimensions: h: 16 cm l: 10 cm and neckline of 5 cm. Léon pointu (1879–1941) Ceramist in saint armand en puisaye. He took over the pottery of his father jean pointu in 1918 was for a long time influenced by the latter. Being part of the "school of carriès" a group of artists largely influenced by japan. His technique: he combines enamels and drips and focuses on creating harmonies of very bold tones.
