Lapierre magic lantern, “Riche” model, circa 1880

Rare magic lantern, “rich” model manufactured by auguste lapierre from 1848 to 1895. This model dates from around 1880. Quadripod base. In tinplate with relief patterns and polychrome alcohol varnish painting, gadrooned chimney with ring, rear door, optical tube with its cap. The oil burner and the glass chimney with its silver mirror which are placed inside the lantern are missing. It is therefore sold as is and without view holders (glass plate). Beautiful decorative object for fans of old films or collectors. In good general condition with visible traces of time. Original unretouched patina. Height: 39 cm. Width: 16 cm.
