Ray and charles eames ea 108 swivel armchair, vitra edition. The ea108 flesh aluminum is part of the group aluminum collection created by charles and ray eames in 1958. Their goal was to stretch a fabric between aluminum studs to obtain a comfortable seat, which could adapt to the shapes of the body, while remaining firm. This type of chair is optimal for an office or in an open room to bring style with a timeless design. The aluminum profile, which forms a simple structure, is extremely elegant and comfortable, and the material that makes up the seat and the back of the chair is simply "stretched" on this frame. The simplicity, the quality of the workmen and the genius of the eames still impress today. The ea 108 chair has a chrome aluminum structure and a black fabric seat. It has armrests and a swivel four-spoke foot for optimal comfort. The seat height is fixed. Original skates under the four-pointed foot, possibility to change for casters. The chair is in very good condition for a vintage piece, perfectly maintained. A slight defect on the fabric (photo n°7) not visible, only if you have an eye on it. Serial number engraved in aluminum and original stickers under the seat.
