Oak wood church stalle

Purchased from a flea market depot in caen in 2000, this carved solid oak church stall dates back to the 19th century. After sitting in a notary study, she spent the last 20 years in the meeting room of a parisian architectural agency. The stall is decorated with five mercys, bounded by six columns. Each mercy and column is decorated with different sculptural motifs. The stall also features slits spread over the entire length, inevitably accumulated through centuries of use. It has been regularly waxed and very well maintained.
