Beautiful and highly decorative brutalist pair of stainless steel candle holders for cube candles from the "steel art" series designed by olav joa for polaris in sandnes- norway in the 1970s. The candle holders has geometic patterns and relieffs on the surface. Perfect for longer candles. Signed under with ola joa and cast stainless steel. Dimensions: 7.5cmh X 7.5cmd. Scandinavian design. Norway. Olav joa (1942) worked for figgjo since 1983. He retired in 2011. Olav joa`s products represent a wide range in figgjo's range and he made the polaris selection in 1972. Olav joa`s polaris "steel art" selection is known for its cast steel with geometrical midcentury patterns from norway. They consist of small production pieces and are of heavy quality steel designs.
