Painted metal top early twentieth century floral decoration

Large metal top painted by hand early twentieth century, diameter 47 cm, from the house "to the faithful shepherd" in vichy, traces of use and wear and very small lack, general condition very correct. Au fidèle berger was founded in 1863: café • brasserie • salon de thé in 1883, the brand was taken over by jean-baptiste coutière and took up residence definitively at the current location, of what would become the rue du président-wilson. Eight years later, to meet the growing demand, a second sales store was opened at the corner of passage giboin. Which was finally sold, in 1900, to its great competitor of royat, the chocolate factory à la marquise de sévigné. The two brands were then among the best known to the french.
