Coffee table with a sphinx base, regency style 1980

This vintage "hollywood regency" style coffee table features a sphinx under an oval cut glass top. This vintage item is totally functional. It shows signs of wear like a scratch on one end of the glass, and traces of wear/scratches on the base. Unidentified base material - estimated weight below!.
