1939 vintage mid century modern oil painting, floral still life - carnations, framed

Carnations. Size: 45.5 X 42 cm (including frame) Oil on canvas. A quaint and very charming mid century floral oil on canvas, painted in 1939. The striking still life depicts a vase of red, white and orange carnations in a small vase on a tabletop with other objects and fruit surrounding it. The painting features a rich earth palette painted in expressive brushstrokes, and has a wonderful homely feel about it. The painting is housed in a very lovely painted wood frame. Both painting and frame are in very good vintage condition. Please note all of the artworks we sell are vintage and unless otherwise stated, their condition is typical for their age.
