Displays 19th-century former wall by Rudolf Leuckart Arthropoda 1879

Rare ancient fresco of a series produced by famous German zoology Rudolf Leuckart (the "father of Parasitology", 1822-1898), Hinrich Nitsche (1845-1902) und Carl Chun (biologist marine; 1852-1914). They were published by th. G. Fischer & Co (Kassel and Leipzig) and printed by Hermann Richter & Co in Leipzig. 113 "Wandtafeln" (wall) have been manufactured between 1877 and 1892 and used around the world as aid to universities and schools that JosefundJosefine has a comprehensive set of teaching. Series 1 (fol. (I) consists of 101 paintings, series 2 (fol. (II) consists of 12 cards. The crustaceans are graphic 88 of series 1. Lithography on 4 sheets of paper, mounted on canvas and fixed to the wood pegs. A few folds and rigidity, certain tanning inside but overall very good condition has given its age and usage, with beautiful illustrations.
