Description
Superb and rare art deco mantel clock, circa 1930, in ceramic with dripping patterns. It is signed under the base "cazalas b de b france" (b de b for the town of bagneres de bigorre). It was originally intended to sit on top of a fireplace. Today, it will find its place in any room of the house: on a chest of drawers in a bedroom, in a living room or near an entrance. Its rounded shape and typical colors of the 1930s will make it a centerpiece of your interior! It is in good general condition, note: a chip of enamel under the base, wear on the clock dial and on the gilded metal. The glass is missing around the dial. The original mechanism has been replaced by a battery-operated box (not supplied for countries outside of france, lithium batteries are prohibited for air transport). The opening on the back of the clock does not have a pull, you have to pull a little with your fingernails to open it. Dimensions: 43 cm long / 11 cm wide / 21 cm high. Weight: 2.659 kg. It is an old object, it may have some wear and tear and signs of age which make it a unique piece with a story! Please look at the photos in detail, they are part of the product description.
