Henri II bed, in very finely carved oak

This oak bed is medieval style henry ii, it dates from the nineteenth century. This is a beautiful piece that I bought at an auction in april 2022 at drouot (paris). I sell it because of moving to provence at the end of the summer. This magnificent piece of craftsmanship is decorated with moldings and sculptures, angels, seraphim, lions, doves, fruits. The sleepers feature friezes of characters. The condition is very good. I give the coordinated bed base (l120 * p190). It is therefore rather a large single bed. I place below the description of the expert of the auction house: "important bed in moulded and carved oak, the head decorated with allegories of love among rinceaux of oak leaves, the uprights decorated with fluted corinthian columns and the sleepers decorated with friezes of putti, medallions and windings surmounted by chimeras. Xixth century, henri II haut style.: 174 cm w. 140 cm d. 225 cm.
