Gemini V is the third manned mission of the gemini program and the ninth american manned space mission. The objective of a record flight of almost eight days was achieved, despite technical malfunctions. In 2010, the capsule was displayed at the lyndon b. Johnson space center, texas, united states. Leroy gordon cooper (1927-2004), is an american aerospace engineer and pilot in the united states air force. Charles conrad jr. Known as pete conrad (1930 - 1999) is an american naval aviator, test pilot, aeronautical engineer, astronaut and businessman. He is the third of twelve men to have set foot on lunar soil to date.
