Set of 4 crystal candle holders signed Pierre D'Avesn

Set of 4 candle holders shaped crystal star. Two candle holders on the 4 are signed at the bottom "p. Davesn" and made in france. Pierre d'avesn, born pierre girre, trained at the school of decorative arts. From the 1920s, he worked successively for the big names in french crystal engineering, starting at lalique, then daum, verlys, and finally the choisy le roy crystal factory until his retirement in 1984. He is considered one of the last great art deco glassmakers. Materials: crystal. Dimensions: 8 X 8 cm X h4cm. Very good general condition, very nice shine and thickness of crystal, 2 in perfect condition, 1 with tiny ginnings on the foot (see detail photo), one with discreet traces of wear on top (little noticeable because of the shine).
