1940s french vintage mobylette by Favor

Vintage french mobylette model or ‘cyclomoteur’ by favor, type le poulin. This type was produced from 1946, a bicycle with a small auxiliary motor. Le poulin means the foal. Favor was a french company manufacturing motorcycles, mopeds and cycles in chamalières near clermont-ferrand. Founded in 1898 by étienne guillaume, it closed its doors in 1977. The ‘cyclomoteur’ has a great authentic patina. The motor has been standing still for a long time. The engine needs to be cleaned and checked. It is not known if it still runs or not. The pistons of the engine are moving, which is a good sign. The engine is “loose”, not stuck. This model has been used for decoration purposes. Motor is signed with the number: 78832. This is a great and fun project for any early motorcycle lover. Wear is consistent with age and use. Overall good sturdy condition, with usual wear, and scratches.
