Piano of the famous brand pleyel. Square model stamped 6810 dating from the year 1838. The very first square models of the brand date from 1825. Mahogany veneer with brass fillet inlays resting on x-base. Lyre shaped bottom bracket. Tagged "ignasse pleyel & compie gold medal 1827, 1834. Restoration to be done on brasses and varnish (strongly stained on one side) Some damaged veneer areas at the back. Some scratches on the tray. Archives available on the brand's website with the workshop archives and the. Accounting register marked: "sold to mrs. Gendron paris november 1500" (1838 to 1843 page 74 of 191 and page 16 of 169) French piano, romantic style chopin. Perfectly suited to chopin's repertoire, but also to bach, mozart and all the classics in general. Playable, tuning required. Chopin's sentence: "when i'm a little tired, I take érard's piano because the sound is all done, but when i'm in shape, then I take pleyel's piano because I can make my own sound." Length 181cm.
