Lamp by Matteo Thun for Bieffeplast model valigetta

Great table lamp suitcase designed by Matteo Thun for Bieffeplast of the late 1980s. With Ettore Sottsass, Thun was one of the co-founders of the Memphis group. This design movement brought form, shape and style throughout the 1980s. Later, the Italian designer has worked as Creative Director for Swatch. This suitcase lamp is composed of a base in metal with chrome handles and a thick diffuser in pressed glass on both sides. The use of this particular glass makes the soft but bright light.
