Old provençal terracotta or jug. A gargolette is a terracotta jug that farmers used in the past to store water, keep it fresh and drink. This word comes directly from the provençal "galgouleto" which means "cruchon". This typical container of mediterranean regions has the specificity of keeping fresh water, wine... It is an emblematic object of the south of france (this one is the var). Ancient object period late 19th and early 20th century. Unique piece of the most beautiful decorative effect.
