Cooper's building press

The builder is used to bend the stave of a barrel when the cooper builds it. This tool intervenes after the assembly of the hull (barrel with only one bent end) and allows to tighten a rope around the other end of the barrel in order to bring the staves closer and to finish the assembly. The barrel is heated beforehand with fire to facilitate the curvature of the staves. By tightening the rope we 'close' the barrel and we can adjust the last circles. Height 84 cm. Depth 14 cm.
