Brutalist lamp Art-populaire in solid wood, wool lampshade

The lamp is in perfect condition, all the electrical assembly is perfectly functional and has been completely redesigned. The wire measures 1m 25 cm, it is equipped with a socket and a switch. The socket is mounted on a solid brass arm, which releases the lampshade of the foot, and highlights it well. The socket is old, it receives bayonet bulbs. The foot is made of solid wood, extremely dense, it is very heavy. It is probably a piece of reused wood, probably part of a very old beam. The holes and cuts that animate it are traces of ancient assemblages, precious testimonies of a craft of another time. The lampshade is made of virgin wool, stretched over a white painted metal wire carcass. Magnificent piece, massive and raw, with generous proportions, unique piece imagined and designed by some skilled handyman, with the wood he had at hand. French craftsmanship of the second half of the twentieth century. The section of the piece of wood forming the foot of the lamp is about 10.5 cm by 13 cm. The lampshade is 18.5 cm high, by 20 cm in diameter at the bottom, and 17 cm at the top.
