Charming ceramic pickle pot from vallauris by robert picault (1919 - 2000) French ceramist in vallauris. Robert picault contributed to the revival of culinary ceramics by updating traditional local forms decorated with geometric lines and designs. His identity style has been a great success and continues to decorate the table today. His personal pieces are sought after by art collectors. A former student of the ecole des arts appliqués in paris, robert picault arrived in vallauris in 1946. With his schoolmates roger capron (1922-2006) and jean derval (1925-2010), he created the callis workshop. It will produce culinary ceramics, semi-industrial, with a simple geometric pattern (round, cross, line...). The enamelled parts are most often bichromat, with copper oxide traces for green and iron oxide for brown. This pickle pot will inevitably find its place in your kitchen with its pretty vintage pattern; ), it is in superb condition, sold without pickle clips, signed rp on the underside. It measures with its lid 15 cm high, 17 cm deep, diameter of the pot 8.8 cm. Available for sale.
