CERAMICA #76

The ceramica series is inspired by varnished earth using ancestral techniques. Enamelled and fired at more than a thousand degrees, their translucent appearance reflects the light and makes the colors deep. All my work is to transcribe them on my canvases, try to bring this magnificent material to life, go to the sources to sublimate it, be inspired by its vibrant colors to soothe our soul. The colors of mixed earth evoke the return to simple, raw and natural things, recalling the soft and reassuring protection of nourishing earth.
