Eames EA116 armchair for Vitra

Eames ea116 armchair manufactured by vitra company in the 90s. This essential design of the twentieth century was conceived in 1958 by charles and ray eames, husband and wife, american designers of genius. The project was to design a light and comfortable armchair made of leather or canvas stretched on an aluminum frame, an innovative material for the time. This armchair was originally edited by herman miller, and now by vitra. The present armchair offers a swivel base, a high backrest trimmed with red hopsack canvas. Some discreet marks of wear, related to a moderate use for 25 years (see photos). Several pieces available.
