Josef Hoffmann Miniature Purkersdorf Set Galerie Ambiente Vienna 1905/1989

Rare miniature set of the purkersdorf chairs + table, designed by josef hoffmann around 1905. The purkersdorf sanatorium was built 1904/05 by architect josef hoffmann. This miniature set was made on a scale of 1: 6 and was edited by galerie ambiente vienna (marked under the seating). It was made from 1989 till 1993. The vertical and horizontal strips on the three sides are made of 2 X 7 mm thick plywood glued together to form a frame and connected at the height of the seat with vertically milled crossbars. The seat frame covered with black and white leather strips is inserted between the trusses. All wooden parts are painted white, the four floor gliders have a diameter of 5 mm and are painted black. The set is in very good original condition. Only little traces of wear.
