Description
Bottle "Whisky" Roger Capron in Vallauris, straight shape at high lobbed pass. Décor "pajamas" multicolored enamels on a white background. The 1950s. Excellent condition. Height 30.5 cm diameter 8.2 cm at the base weight 600 g Signature Capron, Vallauris. BY THE WAY. CAPRON Roger (1922-2006) Professor at the school of Applied Arts of Paris, Capron focuses first on the drawing. In 1946, he discovered the work of ceramics and created in association with Robert Picault Callis artisan workshop in Vallauris. He founded his own company in 1952 and directed parts of form in series (cups, vases, bottles, lamp... feet). In 1957, the workshop employs 40 people and tributary orders from around the world, including the Department store Saks Fifth Avenue in New York. Capron also creates beautiful pieces for exhibitions that graphic design is inspired by the scenes of ancient. In the 1960s, he created the wall covering consisting of decorative tiles.
