It was Yngve Ekström, a Swedish carpenter and architect born in 1913, who created this armchair called Ruster, instantly recognizable thanks to its high back and very elegant arms. This example, certainly one of the first, was manufactured by Swedese at the very beginning of the 1950s, a furniture publisher that Yngve founded with his brother. It is almost impossible to find in oak like here and is very common in teak (of later production). Extraordinarily comfortable with its firm foam padding and perfect ergonomics, this armchair is much more than a decorative piece of furniture. The wooden part is very slightly patinated on the feet and at one angle of the arm (small light marks should be noted under an armrest). The fabric like new, clean and without any defects, a bright light gray mottled with black with small notes of primary red and green, is not original but from the same period. In excellent condition. Dimensions: L 69 cm X 88 cm X H 95 cm (seat 43cm)
