Description
Handcrafted square box in limed and inlaid wood from india. On the lid, in a medallion the six-pointed star, a very ancient symbol, to which magical properties were conferred. Several religious and spiritual practices believe that it symbolizes the link between two things: between the soul and god, between the spiritual and the physical or between water and fire. It is a symbol universally used since time immemorial for multiple purposes probably because of the geometric artistic harmony it suggests. In hinduism, the six-pointed star, called the shatkona, represents the union of shakti, the woman (downward-pointing triangle) and shiva, the man (upward-pointing triangle), the mother and the father of the universe of which there are representations dating back more than 8000 years before the christian era. In a perfect state. Note the presence of a fine burlap inside as well as two clever pins ensuring perfect closure of the object. Dimensions 14 X 14 cm, closed height 5 cm, open 17 cm. Weight 260 gr.
