Description
Empire style athenian cassolette lamp in gilded bronze from the 19th century. A decoration of three satyr heads surrounded by a frieze supports the emerald green lacquer cassolette. The tripod base consists of three legs decorated with foliage. Lb signature above the base the original oil lamp is signed hinks & sons foundry in birmingham since 1835 and manufacturer of oil lamps, patenting the duplex burner for oil-based lamps. The silver brass kerosene lamp base has been converted to electric. This lamp is in excellent condition. The electrical system works perfectly. Dimensions cassole diameter approx. 16 cm height 47.5 cm width tripod base 20 cm.
