Bauhaus Horax Bankers Desk Lamp by Dr. Ing. Schneider & Co, 1930s

Lamp designed by the bauhaus school and produced in the early 1930s. Produced by dr. Ing. Schneider & co, frankfurt under the brand name "horax" A lamp on a rigid arm giving focused light. The original purpose of the lamp was to illuminate a teller's desk in a bank hence the common name banker's desk. The enameled lampshade has a few chips; on the outer layer. Other than that, the lamp in excellent condition. The cast iron base and arm(protected by german patent law) have been cleaned and protected. The paint is in original condition.
