Vintage rocket floor lamp by josef hurka napako, 1950s. This special 'rocket' floor lamp has made a long journey from the czech republic. The futuristic design is inspired by the rocket from the 50s. It was during this time that people started to explore space and this has inspired the designer josef hurka. The lamp has a playful design by using various types of material. Made of a plastic yellow shade encased in white metal racing mesh/grid. The base is a black tripod made of iron. The tripod has a quirky & airy design. The floor lamp provides beautiful diffused light. Considering the age in a lived vintage condition. The patina that the lamp has acquired through the ravages of time is not bothersome with this design and gives an appropriate vintage look. Isn't it a picture.
