PH 4/3 hanging lamp, design Poul Henningsen, Louis Poulsen, Denmark, 1960

The PH4/3 type 117087 Suspension is part of the family of PH lamps with 3 lampshades, born during the winter of 1925-26 for an exhibition in Copenhagen. The PH4/3 is characterized by an upper lampshade with a diameter of 40cm: this is the number 4 in the name PH4/3, while the number 3 refers to the decay ratio of the lower lampshades. The luminaire is designed according to a set of reflective lampshades, which directs most of the light downwards. The lampshades are made of white painted metal in order to emit a soft and diffuse light. In excellent condition, complete, small scratch on the top but nothing very visible once in place (see photo). Very secure shipping, reinforced cardboard special for luminaires.
