Danish teak secretary by Arne Hovmand Olsen 1960

Superb danish teak secretary by arne hovmand olsen for mogens kold mobelfabriek, circa 1950/60. In the lower part 3 large drawers are available in three heights, above a swinging door with key (not original) opens on the desk part which reveals two small drawers, a shelf and a mail door. Typical designer aerial footing and thin stem handles. Hovmand olsen's furniture features scandinavian design, with clear, simple, light and elegant lines. Larg: 96cm - prof: 45cm (closed) 73cm (open) - top: 119cm. Note the middle drawer handles have been restored, missing they have been replaced by metal rods patinated in the color of wood and varnished; on the right handle a small piece of hooping was recomposed using a painted and varnished resin. On the rear base the small teak cylinders with small signs of weakness were glued back together and a copper tube came to cover them to strengthen them. Burning mark on wood left profile and small usage marks. (all this is visible in the photos). Cleaned, he received two layers of teak oil that protects him and highlights his superb patina. Good state of use.
